Tarantula is playing hide and seek!

I haven't seen a single tarantula so far, despite trying hard for like a week. Like I haven't even seen one... I wonder if there isn't enough spare ground room at the moment so it isn't spawning? I don't know haha. Come on, Mr Tarantula, Kerry doesn't like to play games with things that bite.

i havent seen a tarantula in ages either! i havent caught one in my new town yet, so hopefully in find one soon for my museum/encyclopedia.

I've only found one, and it for some reason ran right through me! What's happening?!

I found two in half an hour, but I freaked out as II was scared of them since I was five (Even though I'd never seen them) and didn't catch one.

I've found a few, but every time I do, it pounces me before I can get my net down.

One spawn right by me. Luckily I didn't have my net out. It jumped off the cliff before I could catch it, though. :/

There aren't that much in June I guess, they will appear more in July and August

I see between 1-3 a day, but I always got scared or something until I was finally able to catch one once it appear in a very open space that allowed me to walk super slow until I was very close and I got it!

Removing some flowers in your town will help. This week I removed some in my main town for scorpion season. Placed the flowers like the island has them.
Player 3 went out and caught the tarantula right away. She already caught one last year. This is the 2nd town that I noticed that they spawn in the same spots as last year.

Carrying the fishing rod and having the net only in your pocket helps. Make sure it's not close before taking out the net. Freeze if it tries to attack you. Wait for it to calm down and stalk it like the island bugs. Tries for the cliff move back a little and it might stop jumping and come towards you.

In my new town I found a lot of tarantula and scorpions. Player 2 and 3 caught their tarantula on June 30th. The day before scorpion season. Player 2 and 3 caught their scorpions on July 6th. Player 2 got a bonus tarantula. I have 4 towns and the newest one was the easiest one to catch them in. Just need two scorpions for my side players and I'm done catching those bugs.
