Talking to happy villagers?

I'm not sure what's the purpose when talking to happy villagers(at least angry/thought/sad prevents them talking). It's just they have a higher tone than usual.

They should've added more dialogue, or extend the times we could chat with them.

I haven't really ever made villagers happy before.. Only Uchis when you sell them something in a certain way..

But I know in WW they actually showed being happier in the way they spoke (not just a higher pitch) and had extended conversations with you

My villagers just walk around dancing while whistling the town tune.

When I talk to them it seems just like a normal conversation. I think you're right they should have more dialog, or a better chance at getting gifts/items due to their happiness~!
