Tale of Dragons is not a standard game, rather closer to an adoptable site though it really deviates from the standard example as there is more to do than simply collect adoptables. I'm sure a few people are already well versed with the concept of adoptable sites; you generally pick up an egg of a creature, or the creature itself, and it grows with other people clicking it.
Basic Information
Tale of Dragons is a site that focuses only on dragons. Its a very simple set up once you get the hang of it, and there are nearly 100 different dragon species (not including males, females and colour forms) to collect. You can also "collect" younger stages of dragons by "freezing" (this stops clicks and prevents them from growing further). For a typical dragon the collection involves a male adult, female adult, male mature hatchling, female mature hatchling and an ungendered hatchling. Many dragons also have an alternate form as adults. For a list of all the dragons on site see the following list:
There are two currencies, coins and scales which can be used to buy items, dragons or trade with other users. There are 3 new dragon releases in a month.
Events
We also host events at different times of year, including Easter, Halloween, Christmas. For Easter there was an event that involved collecting items to decorate a basket (example: http://taleofdragons.net/easter13?user=Ashywolf).
We have custom events too, for example this firefly event during the summer which involved collecting fireflies to fill a lantern. St. Patrick's day had a clover-collecting minigame to fill a field. An example of the finished field: (http://taleofdragons.net/clover?user=Ashywolf)
The reason I decided to bring this here was because its one of those sites that really manages to appeal to a broad audience, and it doesn't take that effort to "play". The site runs very unique events and since they change each year it means that if you miss one you never have a chance to experience it again. It is definitely worth a look. The Winter event is coming up in the next month and its going to be a lot of fun (I know cause I'm writing the script ;p). With that out of the way, I shall post some of my favourite dragons.
