So today, I walked into T&T Emporium and everything was half price. Is this normal or not?

T&T Emporium often has sales going on at a certain time of the day. You should really check the Bulletin Board more often.

Yes, it's normal in T&T Emporium and TIY. They do half-price sales (and I think there are other types of sales too with other discounts). They'll sometimes take place only after a certain hour. You can stay updated about when they're going to happen by checking your bulletin board, ever since I started doing that, it's been really helpful in cataloguing items or getting more expensive ones when I'm short on bells.
