Can I hook up things like the Nintendo DS, DSi and PSP to a Surround Sound System?

This is quite interesting, you may be able to if there is some sort of cord that could fit into the headphone jack of said device you want to hook up to the surround sound.

But I do have to ask, what made you think of this?

Because I've bought a Surround Sound System and it's got a Coaxial Cable plug, would the Coaxial cable be able to output the sound from a Nintendo DS to the speakers?

I must add, it's a 5.1 speaker system.

Does the end of it look like the end of a headphone cable?

I would try it out, if it hooks up just turn them both on and see the results.

Yeah, it should have that output on each end of the cable.

Yes, exactly like that.
If it can plug into the dsi/psp/etc then it might be able to play the sound.

Most likely any speakers will work.
I have three and they all work fine and produce sound.

Is it a Coaxial cable as that's the only plug I have for the Surround Sound for things other than TV and games.
