Suggestions on what I can put back here?

This is behind the houses and I'm a little stumped on what I should put here.




Suggestions?

The first thing that comes to mind is a PWP that'll take up a lot of space, but is more for decor. For example depending on where your villagers house is, I think a lighthouse could look really good there paired with some trees and bushes. But perhaps place the PWP in the middle, so it doesn't leave too much space. You could also put a bridge there, the way the river bends makes it look like it'd be perfect for a bridge.

Maybe make it a little backyard? With some bushes making the "fence" and then a hammock or bench inside, as well as a flower bed ^^

maybe put a zen garden or a hot spring then surround them with bamboo (if they would fit).

I'd prob just put a bench there in the middle at the back, with flowers or something either side of it.

I may try to check your dream address sometime of your town, so to check everything else around it... But looking at the space so far in the screenshot, you have a very nice 6-by-4 area of nearly pure grassland, separated by the diagonals formed by the river above. This could work for tons of nature projects. Some ideas:

-Near each diagonal corner that has a dirt patch on it, plant a tree or something, so to mask those spots a little bit.

-Plant a set of shrubs on each corner of the plot.

-Try going for a smaller works project that you like, and plant flowers all around it. Center it between the shrubs, but push it somewhat closer to the river than the house.

If you're still unsure from all the ideas we have, try doing this: Keep mapping the plot with differing patterns, with each pattern representing a different object to put there. I find that helps me quite a lot for placing works projects, trees, etc. before taking action on them.

Is that the river in the back ground - a light house would look odd imo, maybe its by the cliff edge out to the left? Windmill would work but its noisy & I'm not a fan of it really.

The ideas about smaller PWP I also think would work better (cheaper too), gyser, hot spring, the statue fountain, bench, light, using bamboo and/or flowers - all would work really well. The illuminated PWPs look pretty (but don't help with PTS).
