Stupid question about lighting?

I am wondering how you can make a room completely dark?
I know you can hit the light switch but that doesn't work for me to make it dark and spooky.
Help!

Remove all lamps,
Make sure its night time after the sun has setted
Preferably have dark wallpaper

You'll have to hit the light switch on the touch screen to "off" and manually turn off all the lights you have in your room. Other than that, you can't do much else. During the day the sunlight comes through the windows.

Would be cool if they could make it so you can pull the shades down or something in front of your windows to reduce the amount of light. Also wish it was easier to control the color of the lights in the windows outside your house because it's hard to get it just right. Sometimes the lights in your house make a really weird light grey color on the outside and it looks weird.
