Do stumps affect perfect town rating? I went from a good rating (not perfect because I don't have enough projecrs) to an average rating. The only thing I can think of that is different is the 3 stumps, going on 5, or the 2 wilted flowers.

I think that as they are seats it shouldn't have a negative effect, providing you still have the required amount of trees and areas aren't tree heavy.

I've had perfect town for over 20 days now and I have several stumps. They are all special stumps, maybe that makes a difference?

More likely it's not the presence of stumps, it's the lack of trees.

Idk why my rating went down then. It might be because I tore down a bridge but I built a new one so unless the brick bridge has a negative effect on the town I seriously don't know.

Does Isabelle mention the trees if they are the problem? All she talks about is how I need more projects.

After you build 10 PWP she will tell you the other stuff you need. I have 8+ stumps and perfect town rating. Plant the trees you cut off in another place so you replace them and keep the count even.

Also keep an eye for items dropped in the town, if you have more than 15 (or so) it will make your town like a "landfill" and you will lose the perfect status.

Speaking of stumps, does anyone know if a stump counts as a tree? Like, you can only have so much trees in one acre before they won't grow, does a stump count for that number? Does a bush? Does bamboo? So many questions!

No, stumps is not counted as a tree you need to plant more trees to replace the stumps if you want to keep your rating.
I think there are dead spot around your town but Im not aware of a "tree limit" but seriously why would you like your town to be a dark green mess? o.o
Im not sure if bamboo counts, I think it doesnt yet Im not sure ...

It's not about having a town a dark green mess, I just like the heavily forested feel. I know there was a tree limit in the previous games, so I was going off the assumption there was one in this game as well.

Something occurred to me when I unveiled my most recet PWP. Isabelle has always called the PWP "vital" in the little speech she does before the mayor talks. Does she say that for all PWPs? Or does she say something different for instance for the garbage can or other PWPs that don't help (or worse) with perfect town status?
