Today I turned on my 3DS and closed it while on the home menu. I went to the supermarket with my brother and checked for StreetPasses; there were 0. So I asked him to drive us to a Nintendo Zone. We stayed there for about 5mins and when I checked my 3DS, there were still no Streetpasses. Finally we headed to another Nintendo Zone, stayed for 5mins, and there STILL wasn't a single StreetPass.

Before you ask, yes, my internet was on, and yes, StreetPass was enabled. I triple-checked. :/ Why didn't it work?

StreetPass is used to connect to people with other 3DSs, not features like the Nintendo Zone. Perhaps you were thinking of SpotPass?

[edit]
If you were trying to connect to a Nintendo Zone, you have to go to the Nintendo Zone app on the 3DS to connect to one.

I think the logic is that some Zones have a StreetPass save function? It was announced a few months ago that at least a few of them would save people's SteetPass data, so that it would be easier for people to StreetPass others in the west.
It might just be that either nobody went to that Zone or that it's not enabled. Or maybe I'm misremembering.

Oh. I've never heard of that. It's sounds like a pretty cool function, though.

I've been having the same problem. The only one I've gotten in ages was my brothers, who lives with me presently.
I've gone to malls, nintendo zones, and even EB Games, which normally gives me at least 1 employee streetpass.
I dunno what's up either. ;o;

I'm having the same problem too. Just getting one from an employee at EB Games.
The McDonalds in Canada where I live changed how you get streetpasses. No more just going in and getting the green light.
You need to select BELLWIFI@McDonalds and than open your internet browser. It suppose to flash a page so you can connect.
It looks like it could take a lot of time to do. I gave up and just streetpass my 2 3DS twice a day.
Here is a link to Wi-Help for McDonalds.

The thing is, the last time I went to all the Nintendo Zones in my area, and I got like four StreetPasses, so there's no reason it shouldn't have worked this time >.<

I don't even know of any "Nintendo zones" in my city. To be honest, I just pop my 3DS in my bag when I leave the house and hope for the best. I didn't know not getting them could possibly be from it not working properly, I just figured there's no one around here geeky enough to carry their DS with them like me. :x
