I don't know if anyone else has any stories, but I'd at least like to share mine.

So one day, after not playing for about two weeks, I get a new villager.
Flo the penguin. Alright, cool. Sounds fine. Being the cool mayor that I am, I decide to go check out this penguin whose body stretches out the patterns of the shirt she wears by like 50000x.

That's until I realise her house is literally wedged between mine and the bridge, ruins my path intersection. And so began my struggle to get her to leave. I hit her with nets, always refused her requests and opened her presents, even though I'm pretty sure that stuff doesn't work. I did this for like 2 weeks.

Then one day, one of my other villagers tell me that Flo was planning to move. I was thrilled af, man. I went up to her, she gave me that shocked/I want something from you expression and I talked to her.
She was going on about how turf wars or something going on on other towns and how this town was too calm. As she reached the end of her thrilling story, I get the option to tell her to leave.

yes. i have been waiting for this moment to come.

I choose the option "Go chase some turf wars in other towns for me!".
The moment has come.

Her response?

Salty af because I told her to leave.
"I don't want to leave knowing that we weren't that close in the first place. Maybe I'll stay a little longer."

!!!!!!!!

goodbye. i am done.

Anyway, that's my poorly written story. Anyone else have any?

P.S. no offence to Flo lovers. She just destroyed my path...
I'm half-hoping for Lolly to leave as well. She ruined my path as well, but I kinda like her. Maybe I should just play more often and plot reset next time, haha

Ugh, I had the BIGGEST problem with Quillson. I don't like him, hes ugly and he shares a similar name to my boyfriend (which would've been cute if the duck was cute).

Initially, I spent a LOT of time being mean to him. Nothing worked. So I ignored him. Apparently, that doesnt work either, so I went and tried to be friends, but hes JUST SO UGLY.

Then one day, he tells me he wants to move (OMGFINALLY). Few days later, he pings me again and tells me we're not close enough friends..............so hes staying.

Tammi the bear cub came from my best friends void (she thought it was clear.) I nearly had a heart attack because she was my 10th. I somehow got her to move even though she was my 10th and I never even spoke to her

One day Beardo told me he was moving. I was honestly excited about it because Beardo is a bit weirdly flirty with a lot of my female villagers and I am not a fan of it. Comes off as kind of creepy to me. Anyways I talked to him the day before he was supposed to move and he said he was a bit sad about moving. I still said see ya and everything and he just responded with

"...You're supposed to tell me not to leave." and did a complete 180 and decided he was staying because obviously I just wanted to see him happy and he couldn't just let himself leave someone who cared so much for his happiness.

I literally threw my ds to the other side of the bed laid down and went to sleep hoping it died during the night.

It didn't.

So, does this mean that telling them to leave doesn't actually work?
I'm not really sure how to feel about this. I guess villagers leaving is just random then?

That happened to me with Hazel! Well, something similar. I was TTing near the beginning of the game, and I guess I TTed too far, because my 9th moved out and a new villager moved in. I went to go see who it was, and as soon as I walked up to her, she pinged me to leave. o_o
There was no option to say "Good riddance" or anything like that, so I picked the "Who are you?" option.
She told me not to hold in my tears, but it was time for her to move on. And that we had become such good friends, and she wouldn't forget me.
I just kinda stood there like... um? o-o;

I got Truffles from someone's void. I lost Kid Cat just to get rid of her asap. I couldn't stand going.to the title screen and seeing her angry face, jiggly belly, and giant feet stomping around my town. Luckily she pinged quickly since I only introduced myself to her then ignored her forever. Flora is my peppy and a million times better. I love seeing her around town.

This is a coincidental, yet funny story that happen in my first town. I had my first meteor shower and I made a wish. I don't know if it reads minds or we can wish using the 3DS microphone (guys I am just a newbie player at that time so please don't sue my innocence), but I said in front of my 3DS "I wish Cesar would leave already". Then Cesar rushed to me and pinged me that he's going to leave.

Now it's not much fun. Beau told me that he was going to leave but shrugged it off because he said he thinks I didn't cared about him. What a butt. Yuka's leaving now after I gave her a silent treatment for 5 straight days.

you guys do realize that if you shut the game without saving (power button), and reload the game, then you can change that villager's mind? Try it next time, this trick works wonders and saved me from destroying my 3ds XD

All you have to do is reset and he will keep pinging and will eventually just move.

Edit again: Oops was trying to reply to the other poster and tell them the same thing.

That's not an option for me just cuz I'd lose all my work =/
Also, I prefer to play normally XD
