So I woke up today, of course check the forum, before I even actually check my town.. and just when i was going to trade with someone... 3ds is lost! After that we saw the tv was missing, some games and a bunch of other stuff....
So yeah someone broke in the house and stole a bunch of things...
Im pretty much bum already because I know, for a fact, my dad won't replace it, i know this is pretty obvious but is there a way to get my town back? With my account or idk something at all? I lost everything all DLC, unordenables, dreamies... please let me know if there's something i can do?

Also if theres a way to block it or delete online (i dont remember if the nintendo account you create is link to the bank account) any credit card information or other things i should be aware of that i might forget due to the fact i don't have a console to check what other important things it might have.

And if the part that you enter 'the credit card information' requires a password to view the info.

and we are supposed to do what exactly

let me know if theres any information i should be aware of, like credit card or anything store in the ds that i can report?
I remember long time ago i tried adding credit card information but i dont remember quite well and idk anymore how the system on a ds works. Idk if i explain myself clear... :/

If you have your credit card info saved on your 3DS you should contact your bank and cancel it.

That's terrible! I'm sorry that happened to you! If you don't have the 3DS, there's really not much you can do. I suggest letting the police know. The credit card company should contact you if there are any unusual purchases; and there's also probably a way to check purchases being made yourself.

i don't think ill sleep today haha...but yeah i guess i'll hope they find my 3ds, i dont think anyone actually understand the importance of it haha thank you!

Well, I'm so sorry to hear that.

As for your credit card info, I think it might be linked to your NNID and I think you might be able to change it from another 3DS providing you have an NNID. I think, don't quote me on this.

Goodness, that's horrible! Even then, I'd think they'd rather steal an XBOX than a DS. Maybe they were to lazy to buy a 3DS by the 13th for Majora's Mask 3D. Sorry that happened, though. :(

That's really scary. A few years back a person would break in every time my family would leave. We didn't notice until we started going through pictures and saw things missing. They'd take small things that you wouldn't miss unless you were looking for them. We contacted the police, they know who did it. However, with the lack of evidence (because apparently photos of our missing stuff and they had the same thing wasn't enough) and the fact the woman is mentally unstable she was never charged and we never got any of it back. I assume your family already contacted the police. There are ways to cancel all the information off of something, but I'm not sure how.

I hope everything ends up okay

This is really important to know i'll actually start checking pictures too because we found that this people who entered the house were coming more oftently that we would expect! uff thanks!

Once when I was younger I "accidently" saved my parents card information onto the 3DS and bought another game. My mom called Nintendo and made it impossible for that card to be used again unless I re-entered it. Call Nintendo.

Ah... Cringe worthy memories. *cringes*

I don't think that there is any way of retrieving your town. Not unless you use Powersaves and have a backup of it in your computer. Not sure how that whole thing works, but apparently you can make backups of your games with that? IDK.

I'm sorry about someone breaking into your home though. My friend's 3DS was stolen also and I know she was pretty bummed. Hers was stolen out of the car though, she left her bag in the car while she ate at Denny's and when she came back the window had been broken in and all of her stuff was missing. It's a little scarier when it happens in your own home though. To think that someone can just go in there while you're without you noticing it is terrifying. Glad you and your family are okay.
