After going over all of StarFall's records and history, there's nothing left I can say about it, so today, I'm going to start talking about its pre-history. Although I created StarFall on June 18th, 2014 (real time), I have been playing ACNL since the very beginning of its time in America (June 9th, 2013). In fact, prior to StarFall, I had two towns, and on another 3DS system (as StarFall was the first town on my 3DS XL). Today, I'm going over the first town. Next Thursday, I'm going over the other town.

In case if you are wondering, Westport was one of the two towns I had prior to StarFall. Because of my lack of knowledge over certain tips and tricks, Westport was a poorly planned town. It's also the only town I ever owned that I didn't like. In this entry, I will talk about the characters, how I planned the town, the pushes to deleting my town, and the deletion of Westport.

Characters:

Ferry:

Ferry was my first character I had in ACNL, and also the mayor of Westport. I named him after Ferrington, one of the characters in an old comic I written as a teenager. Ferrington was the name of a baby bird in the Bird City comics I written and never published. I also used that name for one of the landmarks in my story City of the Atmosphere. Since Ferrington was too long for a name, I shortened it to "Ferry".

Since I'm a guy, Ferry is a male character. He also wasn't a good character to me. Throughout the entire first month I played ACNL, Ferry was the only human character I used. I didn't plan on making other characters until my museum was completed.

Kaylee:

You may have been familiar with her for a while now. After spending 75 days on TBT, you clearly know about her. If you want to know where I got Kaylee, it started here in Westport. But the Kaylee in Westport was slightly different to the one in StarFall. When I first created her, I thought of having a girl with brown half-circle eyes with a dark brown ponytail hair like what you seen of her. I thought it was a good match to begin with. But when I first created her, I didn't like her as much. But after two weeks of having her, Kaylee became my best character I ever had. Ferry may be my first character, but Kaylee is my favorite character.

Before I made StarFall, I didn't put too much personality in her. Kaylee's hairstyle, eye shape, and colors of eyes and hair was pretty static the whole time. But her character design was a little different. Before I made her a character who exclusively wears dresses and skirts, she primarily worn pants. She also didn't have a four leaf clover in her hair like you see now. In addition, her birthday was July 20th rather than October 1st.

When I first made Kaylee, I made her as a character with a black jacket and green pants. But she looked better in the red argyle shirt sold at GracieGrace when I first bought it. So the red argyle shirt became her primary shirt for a while. I later changed her to a character that wears black pants. And she started wearing a four leaf clover. If you ask about the purple dress she's wearing like in my avatar, I made that back in Westport. But the white coat with yellow scarf was something I made in StarFall.

Holly:

One of my houses I planned on having in Westport was a holiday mansion. Originally, I was going to have a guy character. But then I decided that a female character would work better. I named my third character Holly because she's going to have a holiday mansion where all her rooms are based after holidays. This is a perfect match to me.

I actually liked Holly. She had upright oval eyes with pupils looking to the left (ABA eyes). I also made her a character with light brown hair and a bun. She was also the character in Westport that exclusively worn skirts until I made every character wear GracieGrace argyle shirts with black formal pants. But the holiday mansion was still hers.

Turtle:

Turtle was my fourth character in Westport. I didn't work on him as much because he was my least favorite character I had. But I did reset my game a lot with him while I had the Reset Surveillance Center. I named him Turtle because that was my alternative name given to me by my father (my real name is Mica like I said on my profile). But I just didn't like him as much.

Planning Westport:

Like I said, Westport was a poorly planned town. However, there were some things I worked out on that I wanted to see of Westport. I didn't care too much about path patterns, so Westport had no paths. I just kept it natural like how I did with Wild World.

Westport was named after my last town I had in Wild World (which is Westport). When I first created my town, it took four attempts before I had a steady spot. First attempt - I created my town, but I reset after I saw that the plaza wasn't near the beach. I thought they pick where your house is like Wild World, but I was confused. Second attempt - when I learned that I can place my house anywhere, I reset because I regretted resetting on the first attempt. Third attempt - I reset because my town fruit was apples, and I didn't want apples to be the 100 bell fruit. Fourth attempt - I officially created my town. I placed my house next to a beach cliff since I wanted to live near the beach.

When I first created Westport, here were the firsts: my original villagers were Walt, Sterling, Nan, Patty, and Robin. The next few were Cherry, Clyde, and Chops. My first PWP completed is a cobblestone bridge. First major PWP was the Dream Suite.

Time I go over the museum. Before I started time traveling out of June, I worked on getting my fossil collection complete. When that was done, I started TTing all over the place to get my fish and insect collections complete. But I still didn't create a second character before my museum was done. The fossil exhibit was the first one completed. The art exhibit was the last one completed.

Even though I completed my museum before I created Kaylee, I didn't even finish paying off all my debts on Ferry, but I did complete his debts before creating Holly. And I finished Kaylee's before I created Turtle. Holly's was never completed.

While I was playing ACNL on my first month, I planned on having four houses. Ferry's was going to be some basic house. I also wanted a hotel-themed house, a holiday mansion, and a winter-themed house. The winter-themed house was scrapped, so I went with some regular house instead. I made my boys' houses south of the river and girls' houses north of the river. Another thing I did was that I tried to plant fruit trees south of the river and fruitless trees north of the river.

The last thing I'm going over in the planning section is the animals moving mechanic. I really hated how things went. First of all, animals moving in front of my house is a very bad idea. I had to get rid of them, but they kept moving in front of my house. When I was fed up with that, I built a fountain in front. Then they were moving in front of Town Hall, which is bad. Another problem I had were that all animals were moving south of the river. It's not that I want them north instead of south. It's just that I don't like it when all of my animals are on one side of the river, especially when they were in one row. It makes my town look bad.

Pushes:

There were a few things that evoked negative emotions from me that pushed me to deleting my town. I didn't end up deleting my town for these reasons, but I almost deleted my town for these reasons.

The first one was the Café incident. I completed the project on March 15th, 2013 in game. When I complete a project, I want to celebrate the ceremony on the day after I finish the project. But on the 16th, Isabelle won't let me host it because of some stupid fishing tourney. She said "but what about today's event?" I was like "but what about the Café?" when I saw her say that. So I didn't get to host it on the day after completion. What's even worse is that the fishing tourney is over, but I still couldn't host it. She also wouldn't let me host it the next day because of a holiday based after St Patrick's day. I was angry because I didn't know they had a holiday based after it when they didn't in the Gamecube version. After being two days late, I was very bitter where I decided to not host it at all. Cancelling the project ceremony was the biggest mistake I ever made. It's all Isabelle's fault, and I grudged against her for this until I deleted Westport. I wanted to delete Westport for this, but it's ridiculous to delete a town for one incident like that.

The next push was the Jacques incident. I was time traveling back and forth a lot to get the last painting I'm missing in the museum. I liked Jacques, judging by his looks. And I only got to hold onto him for two hours in real life before he decided to move away. He decided to move away since I never took care of him.

The third push was the Aurora incident. Aurora was one of the villagers I liked. I didn't hold onto her for a long time either. I told her not to move one time, so she didn't. I took care of her for a bit, but she unexpectedly moved out of Westport. That time, I was about to delete Westport, but I still didn't.

Deletion:

After three months of playing, I stopped playing until one month later. Because I didn't play for a while, and that I wanted a new town with a better layout, I decided to delete Westport for good. Before creating my next town, I picked some items I wanted to carry over to the next town so I don't have to worry about wasting my time to get them again. Some things I don't mind risking to work over again, but others I didn't want to.
