Spacing between villager houses?

im sure that they have to be 2 spaces apart, but no matter how much I plot reset they never get where I want them!! in the first pic the left middle space was almost plotted on exept it was 1 space right, and sometimes 2... what the heck am I doing wrong?!

If you are in the middle of the reset, keep trying, good luck! But sometimes it just won't (seemingly?) accept a particular location for no real reason (in my experience). You need to place some PWPs to force houses into the location you want for the next resets.

villagers are a pain, and to think I got to go through this 6 more times...

Each time you load up the game without turning off your DS, there is a general set of possibilities of where they will plot.

Usually 6 plot resets shows you the possibilities. If you don't like them, exit the game, turn off your DS, then reopen and try again!

Just keep going with it it's taken me 3 hours continuous resetting before now to get a villager in the right spot. I did find that sometimes there were places that no villager would ever plot in. Have you ever had a villager in that spot before?

There also cannot be more than 3 houses (including player houses) in an acre!!!

Erik's house is literally two spaces away from my house and my house and it's so annoying.

Also, vertically they have to be three spaces apart to account for the door space!
