Someone help me out? Bamboo needed+Questions!

Hello all,

I'm only 3 months into this game! So I haven't unlocked the Emporium with the Bamboo yet. I realllllly want some! Could anyone give me a shoot or whatever? I want to have a zen garden area...but know nothing about the Bamboo and how it works. Any tips would be awesome And some bamboo...

Bamboo can be given to you by your villagers as well. That's how I got my first one. It came in a letter.
But I do have 1 or 2 that you can have.
You bury it in the grass.
Takes 3 days to grow.
Every three days there will be a dig spot- (like fossils or pitfall seeds)
When you dig in that area there will be a shoot

Its just like a tree.
It doesnt spread like flowers.
You will have to dig the shoots up every 3 days and plant them again
