Ok this is about Giygas, after re-playing through earthbound for the first time in years I found myself very confused, for the longest time I had thought Ness and friends went back in time to kill giygas while he was still a fetus, but now i'm really confused, did they go back to fight giygas as a fetus OR did Pokey send Giygas back in time, ORRRR did they go back before the events in earthbound but after mother 1 (at the end of mother 1 giygas destroy his own body, becoming what he is in mother 2, or so i've heard), because in Mother 1 giygas of course has a full body, in Mother 2, Giygas is explained of becoming so powerful that his body is destroyed and he can no longer think or control his power, and so the devils machine (the thing you see before you fight giygas, with the ness face) is what helps him control his power, now why would this devil's machine exist in Giygas' past, and in fact, if they did go defeat past Giygas to stop the events in earthbound from happening, that would mean that the ending to earthbound wouldn't work out, they would create a completely different future, as apposed to if Giygas went back in time, which would make more sense. Someone please clear this up it's seriously bugging me.
