Someone explain villager trading?

I'm slow, and I don't time travel, but right now I got Agent S moving in 4 days. And I either wanna trade her or just try and get one of my dreamies.
But eh, I don't really know the process.


Help a chibi out please? ;-;

You can try:

1. Wait until Agent S is in boxes you can get someone to take her right away (sell/giveaway)
OR
2. Let Agent S move away to the void
3. Once Agent S is gone you can buy another villager to take her place (have a free spot for a new villager, pay igb or tbt and visit the trader's town and speak with the villager and ask them to move in) Hope that's helpful, I'm dusty went it comes to explaining xD

she just told me today she is moving on the 23rd, so when will she be in boxes? Do I just have to go and check?

first, you HAVE to have the villager in boxes. if you do it earlier, then they'll just interact like any other villager, regardless if they're going to move. when they're inside of their house and their furniture is replaced with boxes, that's your cue to give them away or sell them.

then, your buyer must come into your town via wi-fi. they must go over to the 'boxed' house, go inside, and talk to the villager. as long as your trader has less than 9 villagers, your villager will say ' i'll move to 'trader's name's" town! ".

they won't move immediately afterwards? you have to wait until 6 AM for them to move out of your town, since 6 AM is considered a 'new day'.

^ i BELIEVE the 22nd is when they'll be in boxes, and the 23rd is when they'll be gone for good.

yep! when you have less than 10 villagers, like 9 or 8, then you're available to obtain another villager from the campsite or from another person. however, you have a limited amount of time; if you wait 4-7 days, then another villager from the 16 villager void will move in, and you can't stop it from happening unless you get another villager to move in by then.

Everybody's pretty much explained the other stuff,but I just wanted to add if she says she's moving on the 23rd, she and her house will be gone the 24th. Whatever they say their moving date is, that's always the day they're in boxes.

as mentioned before......if you want to look for a dreamie, be sure to turn off street pass and do not visit the campsite (if you have one), and do not visit other towns as these are ways that the game will "choose" for you a replacement villager.

another way is to keep Agent S in boxes (by TT to the same day each time) and then wait until your dreamie comes up...then you can advance to the next day (agent S will be gone) and go talk to the dreamie in boxes to lock them in place.
