Sell fruit and the shells at Re-tail and I know Reese pays a good price for the shells. Shake the trees and some of them drop 100 bells and if you're lucky a piece of furniture you're willing to sell. (Just watch out for bees though. They sting!) And if the Nooklings are selling a shovel at their shop, you can buy it for 500 bells and go looking around for the money rock. The money rock is one of the permanent rocks in your town that gives bells every time you hit it but just make sure to dig holes behind you so you can keep whamming it. You get about 16000 bells from this rock. And there's the ore rock. It is a rock that you can break with your shovel and you find an ore/gem you sell to Reese. Last if the Nooklings are selling a fishing rod or net, you can hunt of fishes or bugs and sell them to Reese at Re-tail.

TT-ing is short for time traveling because in Animal Crossing you can go forwards or backwards in time using the 3ds system clock or the In-game clock before loading your town with Isabelle. Although TT-ing too much can have consequences such as weeds, flowers dying and villagers moving out without notice. So just be careful if you decide to TT, okay?

I hope those tips proved enough to help you earn those 10k bells. People here are really friendly and willing to help and there are loads of ways to make bells aside from the ways cited above such as selling villagers and other furniture/hybrids. I hope you'll have a great time playing ACNL! If you need any help, I can most certainly help. Happy gaming! ^o^

Thank you this was really informational!
Just some more questions tho...What are nooklings?
Is there any visual way to know which one is the money rock? and the gem rock?
How do you sell villagers?
and how does time traveling even help the game...it seems to be just bad stuff
Sorry for bombarding with questions

The Nooklings are the raccoons who run the shops. The only way to know the money rock from the real rocks is to remember where your real rocks are. They never change, but the money rock does when you hit it. It's luck if you get gems, though I think the silver shovel helps.

You sell villagers by waiting until they want to move, get them into boxes, and then go to the trading area of this forum. People will come over, pay you, and then ask the villager to move to their town.

TT'ing isn't that bad. People that get bored of one day can just skip to the next day without waiting.

The nooklings are those little raccoons who run a shop on Main Street. If you meet certain criterias, they'll expand their shop more.
The gem rock is a temporary rock but at first you won't be able to really spot it since you're still getting to know your town. But as you play you'll start noticing where the permanent rocks are. Say you're playing one day and you find a rock where you know there wasn't one there before. That's your gem rock.
As for the money rock, no. There is no visual way to know them. Just go around town digging holes behind yourself and hitting every permanent rock.
Selling villagers on this site happens in Villager Trading Plaza where people put up their moving-out villagers for sale. Okay let's say a villager in your town approaches you and says they'll be moving out on a certain date and you say yes. On that day they'll be "in boxes" (all their stuff in packed up) people would then usually make a thread saying they're selling/giving away that villager. Whoever will buy them will later on go to the seller's town and convince the villager to move in to their own town. Usually the more popular the villager, the higher the price for them is.
But selling/putting villagers up for adoption isn't only limited to this site as there are other animal crossing forums and other websites such as Tumblr and Reddit where ACNL players engage in such activities too.
Time Traveling is all dependent on the player themselves. They usually use TT to hunt for fishes or bugs that are only available during certain seasons, get a villager move out, get holiday exclusive items and many more. Although there are some things you can do to counter the cons of time travelling. One con would be flowers dying and weeds everywhere. You can do prevent this by enacting the Beautiful Town Ordinance with Isabelle's help in town hall. Second con would be favorite villagers moving out or you won't be playing for a long time. When a villager asks to move out, deny them to leave and then save & quit and you're free to tt as far forward as you want or not touch your game for months and your town will still be intact.

I hope I was able to answer your questions clearly but if you still need help you can go to guides or people such as Thonky & bidoofcrossing.

Basically, you'll need to invest in basic tools, like a shovel, fishing rod, and net. The former two are probably better suited for this time of year. Catch fish and sell them to Re-Tail. Nookling's only pays 80% of what Re-Tail pays. Although it might seem tempting to just sell your perfect fruit, take it and instead just replant it with a shovel. Once you get the island though this shouldn't be a problem.

The tips covered here so far are really good. Once you get the Island, go there in the evenings and catch beetles and fish there. They sell for more in Re-Tail. You can also get some of the island fruits like coconuts and plant them in your town, which you can then pick and sell for extra bells. When you have enough (perfect and non-native) fruit trees in your town, it will also be easier to make bells quickly, because in under ten minutes you can make 1,000 bells or more. Just keep in mind that perfect fruit trees wither and die after you've shaken them several times, but I think they last relatively long because the first time that one died in my game was months after being planted. :)

You can also sell TBT for in-game bells, though of course, some people don't like that method as much and enjoy working in the game.
