It's not that I'm in a rush to complete my town or anything, but after making a big mishap with my museum area, making it too small AND too close to the airport after already fully paying off the incline and museum move, I think it's time to plan my town just a little better x'D

I love how cliffs look and the amount of depth you get, so I want a bit of a focus on having areas taking place on different planes. Like my shopping area has a nooks on the bottom level and a ables at the second level, and I plan on the museum utilizing 3 levels, the third level being purely decorative and not meant to be traveled to put fossils on.

This current state is a bit of an eyesore because I wanna have a better idea of where I want to move the villager plots before I start paying to move them around. But I know I wont be able to terraform as well until they're out of the way. I also have no idea on what to do for the private beach area, if i even plan on doing anything at all.

It's super blocky and very underdeveloped, for now I'm just focusing on where to place the cliffs specifically. I dont expect perfect answers to my problems, just some ideas and inspiration to help kick my brain into gear :>

FIRST OF ALL I AM VERY JEALOUS YOU HAVE WALT.

Ahem... err, okay, as per your predicament, as you said your map is quite blocky so far. It can be difficult to make a layout feel organic (if that's what you're going for). Otherwise I like the idea of having your middle section be some kind of valley, since you have tiered sections at the bottom of your map.

Maybe you should show some pictures to help give people an idea for what you already have developed?

Yeah!! Im definitely gonna fix up the cliffs to look more natural once i figure out their general shape placement, they wont be nearly as blocky as this :O (I left out that specific detail in the op cause it was getting text heavy so I axed a lot of text)

Ooo I never thought of the valley idea, that sounds super fun to play with!! I was almost considering moving my shopping district and everything back out from the front. The original plan was to do a sort of beach-side market thing but I think my mind is slightly changing on that, but we'll have to see!

And sure thing on the pictures thing!! Working on these made me realize how tiny I made these areas for how big the island is, but at it helps for pictures x'D
