So, should i let the birds fly away or keep them coop in a cage forever. In other words, should i let my villagers leave or force them to stay like a desperate husband? Is there any benefits of them leaving?

Depends what you mean by benefits...you could experience new villagers if they leave? Which means you can potentially get new villager pictures, new conversations, just makes the town more exciting having some new faces now and then :) depends how much you love/like your current villagers? The ones I have now I would find difficult to let go of but then I've experienced a lot of other villagers :)

Oh and I voted for fly away :)

How about keeping the ones you're happy with until you get bored or want a change? Meeting new villagers and finding new favorites is fun but on the other hand, I can't see why you'd get rid of villagers you like/are happy with having in your town.

That's what I do at least. I have some villagers I don't plan on letting go of and some villagers that I'm keeping for now (and some I don't like at all). I sacrifice some of them in order to meet new ones.

It is fun having new villagers in your town, everytime a new one comes in I get excited bc the mood of my town changes somehow :-)
I'd suggest keep those you absolutely love, and then cycle the rest (let new ones come and go naturally in their spot).

I 2nd this. :)

Have a few villagers you want to keep and then cycle the rest. This is the best way to ensure you don't get bored and become a serial town resetter.

If you like them, keep them. If not, don't. Remember, they don't have feelings so don't feel bad about either decision.

If you want to experience new villagers let some go
I'd let the ones you like the least go. You cna also gain their picture if your good enough friends with them after they move out in a letter so theres that at least o:

i usually get pretty attached to my villagers and make them stay haha, but you could keep a few and let the others cycle for a change in pace

Whenever I get tired of a villager, dreamie or not, I let them leave. It adds some spark and excitement to your town getting new villagers anyway. :)
