What was it like?
For me it was awesome, at first I questioned this game, it just didn't appeal to me, I rented it first, but later I got my mom to buy the game for me on my birthday, this was like back in 03-04. Every single day i'd wake up early and turn on my gamecube to play this game, and because my clock ingame was messed up (which I figured out how to change later on), Nook opened at 9PM in real life because the game said it was 9AM, so i'd beg my mom to let me stay up a bit longer so I could check Nook's stock. Those were some damn good times right there.

I first saw my cousin play it when I was 7, and I literally thought that the game was about elves living in a box. XD The reason I got hooked was because at the time I was obsessed with fishing, which was a big component of the game.

I bought it cause I was bored and had some money, got it used for about 40$ at a mall, and played it that night. At first I wasn't sure what to make of it, not caring much for Nook's errands but afterwards, it seemed neat to see the neighbors and stuff. Then I got addicted to it and no-lifed it for a year and a half... the end.

It was one of the best games I ever played when I got it, I was immediately hooked. It always gave me something to do, and I loved it. But I did grow attached to some of the villagers.

Haha, r4. Epic piece of technology I'm proud to own. ._.

I got it when I was waaaay younger. My friend was on the phone with me and was talking random gibberish about the gameplay. I ended up buying it for gamecube, DS, and wii. But the first game hooked me so bad... -_-

I was on summer vacation staying in San Diego with my adopted brother and his wife. I was really bored one morning because everyone was asleep except for me and his wife. She asked me if I wanted to play a video game, and it was Animal Crossing. It was amazing and addicting that whole month I stayed in San Diego. I'd wake up at 5 am to play Animal Crossing. I loved the 5 am tune.

After I came back home, my mom bought me a Gamecube and Animal Crossing. I was probably hooked for 2 years. I was probably like 7.

Good times.

first time, my friend let me borrow it, and i kinda left it there, but then my sis picked it up and started playing...then i leaned over checked it out..and got addicted

it was like when i first played The Sims... Strange... but awesome... then it got old and i dont play it much anymore...

I remember in like 05 i got WW for chrismas, and it was my first ac game i ever played :D I was showing my house off to all my friends. xD

my brother got it and let me start playing it, it was awesome, i used to wake up in the morning to do aerobics, it was so fun, i think i might start playing it again

Just last year, I was watching the Nintendo E3 conference, and thought this game would be epic. Then, when it came out, my friend got it, and told me how great it was (I had told him about it) and that I should totally get it. Then for Christmas, I got my Wii and this game. When I played it, I was like "Whoa, this game is really freaking cool." And then I went to my friend's town and was like "Holy *censored.2.0*, nice town." Then we both realized that we needed Wii Speak lol. (which I ended up selling)

On the DS before it was released over here my Mum brought me back a copy from her travels. Ahh it was good.

everytime i went to my friends house, she would always be playing that game.
and she told me to buy it. so i went out to buy it
and then we would change memory cards or whatever and we'd go to eachothers town
and steal fruits and stuff and sell them for money xD
we did that for like hours a day.

I remember reading articles about AC:PG in my gaming magazines, so I picked it up. I got instantly hooked (mostly because of the NES emulators) and I bought WW and CF a bit later.
