So I took a HHD approach to my island.

Is it weird that instead of pushing my villagers homes into a "neighborhood" or putting into sections I instead gave my villagers a plot of their own and decorated it based on their personality and theme? Like for example I have O'Hare so I made a miniature island off of my river and made a beach with beach themed stuffies. Is this like weird thing to do? I just don't wanna completely tear my island down. I wanna challenge myself to keep it as natural as possible. I fear that myself natural look won't be as good as the over terraformed islands..

No, its not weird giving villagers their own idea, in fact it is a unique idea giving villagers their own plot and furniture that matches their personality. It’s your island and everyones island is unique in their own way.

Nope not weird at all, I too have all my villagers with an 8x6 plot with each of them have a row of flowers that fits the house exterior on the left of their houses and an area with furniture that matches their personalities to the right

I do the same thing. Except I never made an island for O'Hare, because I don't have him.
