I couldn't stop crying.
I remember seeing this game at Gamestop when I was about 3 or 4. So 6 years ago.
I loved this game. I used to play it for hours on end. Somewhere about when I started 1st grade I forgot about it.
The villagers in these games are the best, they beat New Leaf's villagers by a long shot. Pssh, uchi and smug?! GCN has robot ostriches and a pig Rambo.
Surprisingly, most of my town is in tact. Tangy is gone, oh well.

I love AC for the GameCube!!!! My villages were WAYY more fun to talk to and I was given more tasks than Im given in CF and NL. I mean, who doesn't miss the option to ask a Villager they have a task! Oh, and I love the fountain they had there!!! It just always made me smile to talk to the mayor!~
The original Animal Crossing was by far the greatest of the bunch. Each of its individual attributes were grand; the textures and art style, the villagers, the events, the sense of a true community, and the beautiful music all contributed to making it the best it could be. The epitome of Animal Crossing, I call it.

My old gamecube has long been broken and my original AC disc scratched from wear and tear over the years. I recently found out I can emulate it and stream over my Apple TV (using a bluetooth ps3 controller). All I kept saying was "I seriously can't believe I'm playing this game again". There are a lot of little nuances in this game that aren't in the newer versions which was nice. Wild World, I wasn't too blown away by mostly because they did away with my favorite holidays in favor for some pretty lackluster ones. It's nice they were brought back in newer versions though.
I just loaded up my old GC town yesterday.I still have most of my original villagers from eleven years ago.Pinky,Spike,Olivia,Chevre,Ace and Monique have been there since the beginning.Kiki,Wolfgang and Rex have been there almost as long.I miss the music from ACGC and I also miss playing with that good GC controller and its rumble effect.If they ever come out with an AC game on the Wii U I'd have to seriously think about getting that console.
I think I'm going to make a new town on my GameCube version and play it. I always loved the original. I think it had some of the best features of all the games.
