Yeah, guys, mine wasn't showing up either so I tried putting it into sleep mode for a moment to see if I'd get any notifications (none) and when I opened my 3ds again I went over to swapnote since it had a blue dot. After I was done there I came back to AC and voila, a blue dot. If your game isn't showing a blue dot, the gift hasn't come through.
