Only one word can describe it...epic. I didn't think it would ever be possible, but Spirit Tracks' final boss battle has managed to top The Wind Waker's for my favorite Zelda final boss. The whole ending was amazing... Each phase of the final battles was brilliantly played out, and the difficulty was just right. The story was amazing, and it actually brought tears to my eyes. Or maybe it was the music...or a combination of the two. But the music... Never have I heard such epic and varied music in a Zelda ending. Nintendo mixed new and old perfectly to make pure nostalgic bliss. I'll admit that I didn't believe that the ending could possibly be so amazing without Ganon, but, boy, I was wrong. Malladus wasn't just another generic throwaway villain like Bellum. When I saw his final form, my jaw dropped... I applaud Nintendo for making such an epic adventure this time around. Never did I imagine that a handheld Zelda game could reach the epicness of a console Zelda game. Now, looking towards Zelda Wii, I am extremely excited and very optimistic. Wii MotionPlus is a big plus (no pun intended), and the best graphics on Wii yet will be amazing, but Zelda Wii still has a lot to live up to if it's going to top Link's most recent adventure. Ah, well. Only time will tell now. Waiting for E3 2010 is torture!! I guess it's back to finishing all of Spirit Tracks' side-quests and timeline theorizing again. I also have Scribblenauts and Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story to play... I have a feeling I'll be playing Spirit Tracks a little more, though. XD

Um...thanks? o.o That's gotta be the first time I've been told that I'm "awesome" here... I'M NOT A LOSER!! =D XD

I'm at the Sand Temple right now, so far my only gripe with this game is all the things that require the mic, if I blow into something too much my head gets dizzy, and it took me so many tries to do the duets for Embrose and the Sand Temple guy, other than that though i'm enjoying it alot more than PH, I actually got stuck in ALOT of places, which is something PH failed to do even once.

I have to agree with you on that, partly. I do like the various uses of the microphone, but it can be rather frustrating, and almost impossible, if you're playing somewhere loud or windy. But in normal, quiet playing conditions, I have no problem at all with the microphone features. I like to see the looks on people's faces when I use the Whirlwind. XD

I have an old DS phat, so my mic place is in the bottom rather than the middle like the Lite and i, it might be my DS, but blowing in the mic can be a bit unresponsive at times, so it doesn't blow right.
Also I love this music, and this boss:
<object type='application/x-shockwave-flash' width="250" height="250" data='http://www.youtube.com/v/B0sves087iU'>
<param name='AllowScriptAccess' value='never' />
<param name='wmode' value='transparent' />
<param name='movie' value='http://www.youtube.com/v/B0sves087iU' /><param name='play' value='true' />
<param name='loop' value='true' /><param name='quality' value='high' /></object>

It must be your DS Phat then, because it works fine with my DSi. =p

That doesn't mean much.

Not to say but you still haven't grown your obsession of the smiley spam.

Gee thanks for spoiling it for me. D; Space for spoilers please.
I didn't spoil anything... I made sure there were no spoilers. If you're referring to Malladus, it's known from the beginning of the game that he's the final boss, so it's not really a spoiler.

It's not spam. >_>

Another thing I really like about the game is the boss battle mode. Now, before anyone goes "ZOMG YOU CAN'T PUT A BOSS BATTLE MODE IN ZELDA!!!1!1!!", it's not what it sounds like. It's not really a mode, but a side-quest. Kinda. There's a house in Castle Town with a lady that looks strangely familiar, and inside there are three doors that lead to three different portals. These three portals take you to a place not unlike the Savage Labyrinth from TWW or the Cave of Ordeals from TP. You find yourself in a room full of enemies, defeat them all, and move onto the next room. But the difference is, in this one, after a few rooms full of normal enemies and minibosses, you actually fight a real boss again! The first door only goes up to the first boss, the second door goes up to the third boss, and I'm guessing the third door goes up to the fifth boss, maybe sixth. I haven't beat it yet, so I'm not sure. Oh, yeah, did I mention that there are no hearts for the entire challenge?

I would love a boss battle mode, maybe even a time attack boss fight mode like in SOTC, I hate it that in most Zelda games you can't replay boss fights.

I'd like it, too, but only if it wasn't an actual "mode" like in most games. I'd love it if they did something similar to ST's Take 'Em All On challenge in Zelda Wii. Zelda isn't a game to have different modes. The only exception is the multiplayer in PH and ST.

By the way, in case you're wondering and don't mind the spoiler, I accidentally found out what the last boss for the level three door in the Take 'Em All On challenge is...<div class='spoiler_toggle'>Spoiler: click to toggle</div><div class="spoiler" style="display:none;">It's Dark Link.</div>Now I just have to get to him and beat it myself. =p
