So I am looking for the advice of southern hemisphere'rs...

I have quite a busy and built up island, how does this work with snowboys?

Do the snowballs dissolve over paths like did in previous games? Can we roll them up and down inclines and over bridges?

I'm just curious as I'm nervous about getting no ice DIY's!

I recommend having a small section of your island be fairly barren so it forces the 2 snowballs to appear there every day when it's snowing. That way you can actually get the snowballs to spawn, and guarantee you can have a bit of room to make the snowboys there.

When I first was in winter (chronic time traveler here) I had quite a bit of flowers covering most of my island, pathing in a lot of areas, as well as 40% of my island dedicated to cataloging sections. I ended up taking out flowers and such in an elevated part of my island and left it fairly bare (the size of maybe 3 or so houses next to each other) which in turn let me always get the snowballs to appear in that section.

I believe they slightly do dissolve on paths, but to be honest, I haven't tried that ever as I dedicated a section to them. Same with the incline and bridge question. My advice on making them though is to have the bottom be max size (where it's quite slow to roll them around), and the top snowball be right around the height of the bottom of your villagers eyes when you are standing directly next to it (while you are looking straight on with the camera). The snowboy sizing is SUPER particular though, so it will definitely take some trial and error.

That's mega helpful thank you, whilst I'm only in September and have nothing to worry about yet, I like to plan so will bear keeping an open space in mind. Thanks again :)
