umm.... i need help picking a small pet.
i need a pet that doesnt need special things.(filters.heat lamps.)oh and doesnt mind being held or handled.
i cant have snakes or any rodent type thing.or a bearded dragon.
i have a 20gal. tank.
if suggesting fish suggest a type that doesnt need anything special, like a certain temp. tank or a filter or pump.

simple things.

i was looking into a crested gecko?
does that sound good?
erm..help me TBT.

Be careful about getting a Goldfish and a tiny cleaner fish. I had a regular sized goldfish and My sister had a cleaner fish and a Black Popeyed goldfish once, and one morning we woke up and saw that only my goldfish and my sister's were there. It turned out my fish ate my sister's cleaner fish. 0_o

I know you said no rodents but geribls can live in tanks and they are very playful. They don't eat or drink much.So all you really need is litter, rodent waterbottle, and a dish for food. The bad thing is that they only live 2-3 years.Mine just diued at 2.5 years.

Sn....
A terapin (turtles that mainly live in water), they are as easy to take care as fish, just make sure their aquarium is properly filtered and feed them. All they need is a cheap light and something to climb on. Only problem is Turtles grow....alot....

Just about any type of pet requires alot of care and such, with any pet you get your gonna spend alot of money on them.

I suggest getting a pet Turtle! Turtles can out live you and they are awesome to have! Cleaning the tank on the other hand is difficult.

I'd say this is correct. Fish are cheep to start out, but food can be pricey, and they die easily. reptiles are expensive to start, and require much care( and don't usually like to be held), rodents are cheep and dirty, smelly, etc. And Birds = loud.

Actually most lizards and snakes love to be held if they are used to you and humans in general. Turtles hate to be held though.

Oh, and they get BIG. Like, the size of your hand.
And sometimes bite hands on accident.
I hate frogs now.
Poor mouse. </3
Damnit. I'm all sad now.
Oh please, it's the way of life, and that mouse was lucky it wasn't a snake.
Imagines a snake being wrapped around you, crushng your bones, and suffocating you until you are slowly digested.
