slum Lord mayor

hihi, i also don't really care who move ins who move outs!

but as i play this game more i am beginning to understand how others would give a hoot, lol. not all villagers made equals! haha

No, you're not the only one. I'm sure there's thousands of players that don't. I didn't used to give a hoot, until I actually looked at the trading plaza. Then I did start to get interested in "dreamies".

ya but that means you are interested in making money from trading desired dreamies for others, not that you personally take interests in having them for yourselfs hehe

Where did I imply that? o_o

I recently got my last dreamie, and have kept all my villagers and have never sold villagers for ridiculous amounts. I have, however, paid quite a bit for some of them.

This. :)
I have a certain like that is stronger for some villagers than others, so I wanted them to be in my town.

I don't do the dreamie thing either, OP. I let people move in and out as they choose. Although everyone who visits Hollow probably thinks I'm one of ~*~those~*~ people now since Marshal randomly moved in next door to me. Gotta admit he's cute-looking but he's not worth fifty million bells or whatever ridiculous sum he "sells" for.

Honestly I'm completely cool with whoever decides to move in, they all say and do the same stuff anyway. I'm always picking up low-tier guys someone else voided months ago and I like the flavor they add to my town.

okay, then that means you only became interested in certain villagers becoz you saw others' interests in them (at the trade plaza)?

just trying to understand your sentence: "I didn't used to give a hoot, until I actually looked at the trading plaza. "

I don't have much of a preference for my villagers. If they're cute and they've grown on me, I'm never letting them go. I feel as though I haven't played enough Animal Crossing to get to know all of the different villagers (even though I playing the original AC and WW) and their looks and personalities.

I've pretty much fallen in love with every villager who has ever lived in my town, and it was hard letting some of them go.

But the only dreamies I've ever had were Rod and Bunnie. I had them both in WW and they were so cute and awesome that I wanted them back. I'm halfway there now. Just gotta let someone else move out now before I go searching for Bunnie. <3

I can see you're quick to making conclusions. I never said other people influenced me to want them. What I meant by the trading plaza, is the cycling threads. I never thought I could get specific villagers because I'm not exactly "flowing with money", but when I seen cycling threads, I thought "huh, maybe I actually could get some villagers I really want."

I use to be picky and choose who moved in, but now I just let whoever. It's much less stressful and I find it much more fun. Sometimes it's awesome having that one or two villagers you hate that just like to troll your town, and then its awesome when they move.

Most people get their dreamies and then quit because the game becomes stale.

I mostly just like having whichever villagers. I don't buy or sell though I've adopted a couple (Kiki was one of my original villagers in the first AC, so I wanted her). But as an example, Pietro moved in recently and I was kind of horrified by him at first (that face. That HOUSE) but now I'm starting to enjoy him a little bit. And Tutu moved in randomly today from Streetpass and I think she's pretty cute.

Even Gloria, who also was a result of Streetpass, was one who I hated initially but have come to really enjoy. She's actually really sweet - she's given me medicine when I've been stung by a bee and is just always one of my kinder villagers. Also, she has a purple tail! How adorable. And she told me she's older than everyone else, so she feels out of place. Aw.

I understand dreamies, because there are some villagers that are just *really* cute and I get that, but I think it's fun to get to know some unexpected townies.

I never did at first. I wanted to change some of mine because I didnt like a few but I never knew what a 'dreamie' was lol. I never paid for mine, I did however spend a few rare items for coco. Most have a meaning behind them [ruby is an albino just like my first pet]

ah, i see! i couldn't make the connection from your original sentence, lol.

i agrees! Big Top (a jock elephant) was in my town. he was brash and cocky! but i nice to him! later he became less cocky and nices back to me! but this morning, he moved out. i remember the second time he asked me if he should go, he acted sad and was looking down on the floor... it became hard for me to let him go too, but i did. >_<

he didn't give me his picture, but he wrote me a goodbye letter, saying i was his pal and although he was excited to live in a new town, he was sad to leave mine...

i didn't like Big Top at first, but our friendship definitely grew...

*sniff* -_-

I'm to the point where I just don't care anymore. It was fun getting the villagers I loved/grew up enjoying. But I like the experience of getting random plots, moving pings, campers, etc. There are so many villagers out there for a reason and I would love to have most, if not all, to come move in to my town (mainly to earn their pictures). There are maybe two or three villagers I'd want to keep for a long time. As for the rest, since I don't play as much I used to and no longer time traveling, I'm sticking with if they ping to move out, they're moving out.

Eh Im not really interested on who i get now. I got rid off Tom and Phoebe and Rocket moved in (on my path!).

I don't mind new villagers moving in. It's fun.

When I got the campsite I was worried I might not like it, but now I enjoy visiting campers, playing games and sometimes having campers move to my village.

I do have three villagers, though, that I have kept from the beginning. I really like them and am not ready to let them move. I will eventually, but not yet.

Having new animals move in periodically keeps the game fresh for me.
