Sims 4 download time?

Hi everyone! Haven't been on TBT for a while

So, today I bought Sims 4! In my excitement as soon as I got home I turned on my pc, popped in the Sims 4 disc and logged into origin. That didn't take too long. But now it's just preparing installation. It's been like that for 20 minutes. Do you guys have any idea how long the process will take?

The time it'll take to install depends on various factor between your computer and the server who provides files for installation. You might want to calculate the file size of the data your game needs by dividing with your Internet speed (in KB/s or MB/s).

If it's a disc, is it just installing from the disc or is it actually downloading the content? I torrented it a few weeks ago and it only take ~45 minutes to download and ~20 minutes to install.

Right now it's still 'preparing installation'. It's been ages!
