Silver Axe Blues

Welp, I officially spent all my bells (over 300,000) on going to the island to find the stupidly rare silver axe. What once used to be a rich mayor that only used his money for the well-being of the town is now a broke, selfish mayor who wastes all his money on vacations, paying no attention to any of the villagers. I've even looked on the forums and even created my own thread, yet nobody is willing to sell me a silver axe. Why is this axe so stupidly rare!? Anybody else having trouble getting the axe?

I know that, I have a gold axe. Silver axes are very good for decorative stumps so that's why I want one. I know that gold axes sometimes produce decorative stumps, but I need something more efficient than that.

and for me island checking silver axes aren't common but I have better luck then a lot of people
