When should it come out?
Depends on how fast I get done with recording... but I'm looking at an October - November timeframe.
Yay! My birthday present!

All instrumental?
Nope - vocals on Manha de Carnaval, Vuelvo al Sur, and Por Toda Minha Vida.

Bulerias in D will feature bass, Silhouette will be a classical guitar-jazz-guitar-piano trio, and Rumba de Janeiro will feature my bro on flute. :) Also some cool jazz guitar on Inutil Paisagem (noir, dark sound) and Santo Antonio (punchier, jazzier improv part).

Edit - and percussion on the Bulerias, Rondena, and Rumba, along with a cool "rain" sound effect in the background for Inutil. Pretty varied stuff in short. :)

Where did you go to get these cds done? I've been thinking of trying something like this on the guitar, feat. ocarina.

One of my dad's coworkers records musicians in his spare time and has a home studio... it's normally fairly expensive, but he gave me a great deal. I don't think I'd be recording this new album if I had to pay $40-$60 an hour like most do... recording an album is pretty expensive as it is, especially the production/duplication...

:D

BTW, Rumba de Janeiro has been altered since I put it up on YouTube... there are two improv sections now (one for me and one for my bro), and the third repetition of the theme is different... we also came up with a different, more effective ending.

Also, couple of mixing issues: my bro's flute is too loud, background guitar in Rumba and hand drum in Para Estrella are too soft... But they'll be ironed out in the final mix. :)
