*Sigh* I'm just cursed

So for the third time now, my town has become corrupted and I lost it. The third time. I was heartbroken when it first happened, but ended up getting over it and making another town to live up to it. And it almost did, until a little while later, BAM, the SD became corrupted and I had to reformat and download all my digital stuff again, losing this town. So I made another town, that's fine. I'm working on this town, it's shaping up, friends have helped me gather back DLC and fruit and things I lost, and what happens the next day? I go to the data management to backup a few digital things and I can't access it AGAIN because it's corrupt and it needs to reformat.

Great. I built the town AGAIN, on the 12th. I've barely touched it because I feel like I'm just going to lose it again. Maybe I should just stop playing the game, period. It's been nothing but heartbreak at losing my towns over and over and I don't know what to do as I'm at my wits end.

It sounds like an issue with your SD card. I've not had any problems, but I didn't skimp in my choice of card.

sorry to hear about your losses.

i guess if i were you i would buy a new memory card since your saves have been corrupted so many times. don't they save the game on the servers or something (when you connect to internet)? anyway, Lexar is a good brand so i'm surprised to hear it has corrupted so many times.

i am still using the 4GB Toshiba SD card that came with my 3DS XL and so far so good. i don't plan on making any digital game purchases, Animal Crossing is the only game i will be playing, so the 4GB size should be fine for me.

I've never heard anything about saving on servers. I know some digital games can be backed up, excluding pokemon and ACNL, .

I would've kept the original 4GB card but it wouldn't fit fire emblem, ACNL, pokemon x and y and all my other digital stuff on it. I may consider trying the Sandisk SD cards or the sony, I can't have this happen anymore because it's just ridiculous. I had a collective 600 hours on the game, so i don't know if I want to add more to that just to have a constant restart

Personally I've had nothing but trouble with 32gb cards even official ones like yours and samsung!
Not sure why but whatever I used them in and for, they would corrupt =/

16gb and below have been fine though.

Ugh, I've had this happen before. It has happened to me only once, it had something to do with switching my pictures on my 3DS to either my SD or system memory. And thus erasing all progress from my ambassador games, which actually just motivated me to make even more progress in my games

Remember, always take your SD out when the power is off, that can cause a problem.

I've never taken this Sd cArd out of the system and it's the only one that's given me issues.

The 16GB aren't enough storage for me (what the heck could I be doing that I need so much space, lol I know) but I'm just going to take a long break from ACNL until I can either figure out what's wrong or just become disinterested. (As if that would ever happen) I just really hope this doesn't happen anymore.

Maybe it's because you're using a different memory card? I know you need the extra space but maybe your DS system can't handle it. I have the one that came with the 3DSXL (I believe it's 4-6GB) and I haven't had a problem because it hasn't been switched.

It didn't cause problems at all until a while back when it caused the first corruption. And a few of my friends use this same size and brand, even a 64gb Sony one and have not had any issues.
And the stock one it brings is 4GB, which is essentially no room whatsoever for my things. And I've even looked at the ones nintendo has approved for use on the console.

Mine seems to be glitched still. I took in Pekoe and the next day Bam was gone. Um he didn't even ping me and I was talking to him all the time to make sure he stayed. The ****?

You guys are so nice ;^; but I have to refuse any help. Not only because I can just rebuild my town again, it's just, I would feel terrible to accept your kind help to them have the town disappear again

I turned it on a little while ago. Thankfully it's still there. We had 2 new residents move in while I left it alone since the 12th.
