You should try tracking the artist down first, they might not want people using it without their permission/use it anyway.

It doesn't matter if you found out who the artist is, you still HAVE to ask for permission to even use their art. Regardless whether or not the piece of art is on the internet - it doesn't mean it is free to use.

.-. It's really not that big of a deal. It's not like I'm Claming it as mine...their is not way to get ahold of this artist. All I want is a sig..


Not only that their would be a water mark on it.. No I would understand if there was a watermark or something on it… But there's not so it's really just enough not that big of a deal… I mean everyone is overreacts and there is nothing and where they posted it that says do not use and there's also nothing saying cannot use it so basically I just want to use it… Every little thing I just get yelled at by all the users on the form because I'm an Internet troll well I'm not okay I'm just a kid… Now I'm ranting going to pay like 50 TBT so I don't even want to be the deal is just..ugh. ����

Lucky I know it might not seem like a big deal but artists put a lot of time and effort into their work.

Imagine if you spent a lot of time creating something and some decides to take it and resuse it. Then imagine that happens 10000xs.
No credit for your original work. It's like a slap in the face.

Asking doesn't hurt and you know they probably will let you use it. It's just nice to have recognition for something that you've put your effort into.

Not a big deal? It's great and all that you're not claiming the art as your own, but it's still technically art theft.

Not every piece of art has a watermark, and even if they don't have a watermark, or don't explicitly state that you can't use it, that doesn't mean you still have the right to use it.

And looking at the tumblr post, it says this was a request for someone, who, from what I can tell, was not you. This art was for someone else to use, which is basically saying that people shouldn't use that art.

Sorry if I sound harsh, but being an artist who has been stolen from, (And I'm not saying you mean to! I know you'd never hurt anyone just because.) I take these things really seriously, because it doesn't really feel very good when someone takes your art.

So once more, I know I probably sounded harsh, but we just want you to know that using that art isn't okay.

We don't know how this person feels about it, and even properly crediting them doesn't mean you can use it. Nanobyte, your one of the few pepole on TBT I find entertaining, And respectable. You do sound harsh but you're an artist yourself as well as myself.. I just can't see your perspective, by that meaning I don't see how it's technically art theft. But if you say that it is, then i'm going to believe you…I don't I just didn't mean for this to happen I mean it's just I didn't see this is Art theft I didn't mean to cause all this commotion… I'm really embarrassed… I was just trying to get a sick I was not trying to offend anyone make anyone angry but in the end I always make that happen. So for that I'm sorry… I'm just ignorant… And for that please forgive me everybody… I'm hardly worth anybody's time and now people think I was trying to steal this poor wonderful artist art work. It's fantastic people like this drive for me to follow my dream and being artist it's why I want to go to an art college when I get older… People like this is what inspires me to do what my heart tells me! Here I am stealing someone's hard work I never meant for this to happen I just didn't see it like this until you open my eyes please forgive me everybody I messaged the artist explained what happened… I hope she will forgive me and you guys will to thank you for opening my eyes…

And, heyheyhey, don't be so hard on yourself! We all make mistakes, and now you're back on the right track. Don't worry, it wasn't as bad as true art theft. You just needed a little explaining, that's all. We forgive you, and even when that incident from a while ago happened, we still forgave you, and we won't ever hate you. Everyone in The Bell Tree is like a family, and we'll never ever hate you.

I'm sorry that I attacked you and was extremely rude to you. If you are striving to be an artist then you would probably feel bad when someone tries to pay someone else to use your art in a photoshopped piece - such as a sig. It is art theft because you did not give any of those two people your permission for your art to be allowed in the signature or whatever the person being paid was making. On a larger scale with more money involved it is a big deal. We aren't trying to belittle you or trying to insult you. We are trying to tell you it isn't right, but you keep coming up with a different comment. I never posted my art online before because I've had actual art stolen from me irl and I'm afraid of it happening online. It sucks when someone does that, a watermark makes no difference because the artist does not know where their art is ending up at or who is getting paid from that art.

Putting your text in a gradient font does not take away any wrong from planning to use someone's artwork.

PandaNikita, you weren't being that hard on me… It's just I've come to the point in my life just you know feeling worthless as it is and then you know… But anyways thank you for apologizing…It Does mean a lot.. I just wanted to let you know i will be using a different image and hopefully this will go behind me but things always just keep coming up in my face.. Many past mistakes have but it's just I have to learn to live in life you know but thank you again I just wanted to tell you that I guess I appreciate it but I don't know how to..express it any other way.. Nanobyte your kind words brought tears to my eyes I know that sounds kind of cheesy but it's true. I'm an emotional roller coaster, i'm a 13 year old girl.. So to be expected and then not to go along with that struggle with Depression and anxiety attacks. Your Kindness is really appreciated. Both of you thank you for wishing me luck… It means a lot.
