I haven't really been happy with my town's design, but I've always made a way around my terrible pwp placement.
The only problem with restarting my town is that it's a years worth of work, and i'm so attached to my villagers.
one of my favorite villagers are moving out and i'm sad so i feel like restarting idk ;-;

The way I see it, villagers are easily attainable if you're persistent. c:
I know when I first started the game, I had no idea what I was doing because ACNL was my first game in the ACverse. So I ended up loathing my town but found some of my villagers too hard to let go of... But eventually I got used to the idea and never looked back. I'm happy with my current town AND got all of my dreamies!

Villagers are easily obtained. You will honestly feel a lot better if you restart. I recommend you keep cycling layouts until you're happy with one, even if there are bad villagers. It's best if you're to go with this route to give away items or to sell for TBT. If you sell it for TBT you can then use the TBT to try to buy new things, unless you're planning to do a fresh start.
