I have really wanted to make the upgrade. The screens are bigger, longer battery life, and even more space.

But I really want games for my Wii U as well, and I'm guessing it's either an XL or Wii U games. What should I do?

Do you play your 3DS often? If so, get the XL. It's not like the Wii U has any games to buy anyway.

As I see it, you're getting nothing new. You could buy a new SD card for memory, you can have a charger plugged in while you play and to be honest, still will if you play a lot. Really the only advantage is the bigger screen.

Where as a new Wii U game is new and is content to entertain you which is the ultimately the main goal here.

I do play it. A LOT. And I meant the E3 games, because there are a lot of games I am looking forward to for the Wii U

Yes, I have the XL and I love it. The bigger screen makes watching netflix easier (if you do that) and the increased battery life is very noticeable and useful.

Get the 3DS XL even for no other reason than Screen size. Playing the original 3DS compared to the XL is like night and day. Much bigger image to see much better detail. plus I find holding the tiny 3DS makes my hands cramp after awhile. And I haven't had that problem yet with my XL and I play AC:NL alot.

and besides if you hold off on buying games, they come down in price or are easy to find used for much cheaper.

I'd get one just for the lack of smudging on the plastic, which I heard the XL doesn't have compared to the regular 3DS. Bothered me since day 1, especially since the original DS didnt have this glossy BS
