I was just wondering if I should download Pokemon X, because of the amount of space I have left.. It will take up 14,000 blocks, and I have 23,473 left because I never got a larger SD card for my 3DS, I only have the normal 4GB 3DS XL SD Card... I would really like to be able to download it, but will the remaining 9,473 blocks be enough to work with? It seems like it should, I already downloaded Animal Crossing New Leaf and that was only like 6,002 blocks I believe?

And if I do want to transfer to a new SD Card, will I lose all my save data? I know I can keep the downloaded applications, but I don't know if the save data carries over, because I thought I heard somewhere that sometimes the save data has issues transferring? I really don't want to lose my ACNL town even though I don't really play anymore...

Can someone just give me a lot of insight on these questions please? Thanks. :P

With the 4GB SD Card, you should have enough to hold a few more retail games and quite a lot of eShop-only content. If you do plan to download more retail games, you'd be better off with a higher SD card capacity. I'd recommend you either grab a 16GB or 32GB if you're going to download a truckload of retail games.

Transferring from one SD Card to another is as simple as copying and pasting from your whole old SD Card content to your brand new one.

Yeah I knew how to transfer, but it keeps all the save data and everything like that works fine as well? I really don't see myself getting TOO many games, but it couldn't hurt to have probably 16 or 32 GB. Also going to try to get a higher class SD card with good read and write speeds, because I have done a bit of research, and a class 4 card, which is the one you get with the 3DS really isn't the greatest I don't believe.

I recommend a 16 GB just in case. Think about these:

1) Do you lose your game cards often?

2) Will you be more likely more often to play it if it is saved onto your 3DS?

3) Will you want a Club Nintendo code/the little guide?

That might help.

If you really want it then I think you should, but you can always upgrade your GB too.
