Bianca was the first villager I plot resetted for. She placed her house in the perfect spot by the 3rd try. Same goes for Whitney, on the second try she placed her house right where I wanted her. Basically on my main town basically I succeeded on where I wanted my villagers to place their houses down. Though I almost messed up with Diana. I had completely forgotten she was moving in that I logged into my mayor and I knew that this was the end because there was always this location villagers would always place their house down when I started plot resetting a new villager, but thankfully her house plot was between Genji and Chrissy which is where I was planning on getting her house plotted down.
I failed somewhat miserably plotting Fauna and Fang on my second town. Both just refused to plot their house down where Angus used to be. I kinda blame Skye's house location or maybe not. Even though there was huge space for Fauna or Fang to plot their houses down between Kid cat and Skye they just refused. I mean when I plot resetting Kid cat the space between Angus and Pecan was rather smaller but he did it. I guess some villagers are just stubborn ):

Campsite = Bruce
Plot = Octavian
Octavian is moving in but Bruce isn't due to me needing a spot for a species I don't have. Between the two towns I want to include no more than one of a species. That way I can have 20 differant species!

First villager was O'Hare. Ironically I don't like his plot placement now lol

I think I plot reseted for Genji more than 5 hours non-stop. Never again.
Hmmm, I think Deirdre and Fauna. Deirdre was an accident (too close from the cliff) but Fauna put her plot perfectly aligned to hers and even though it's not the best place, I think it's cute how their houses are right next to each other, so that's how they are atm.

I didnt know anything about plot resetting until almost 6 months after I got the game. Someone I followed on Tumblr was making some posts about plot resetting one of her dream villagers and it took her 3 days to do it! I cant imagine going through that @_@ As for myself I sometimes I forget when a villager is going to move in once the the villager count is down to 8, but for the most part I have it down now 
For Mitzi I forgot to plot reset, but thankfully she was in a good spot.
Stitches was the easiest. For the first 15 minutes his house kept appearing in the same 3 places, and then finally he was about 3 spaces away from where I wanted him but I called it good.
Antonio for about an hour but after awhile I accidentally hit my mayor instead of a new save file (again...go me) but I for the most part like where he is at.
Vesta was 5 hours. I accidentally hit my mayors file instead of a new one because I got distracted with something. I dont like where her house is, but I dont have the heart to let her move out ; A ; However I think once I get some trees around her and Merengues house Ill like it a lot more.
