[Selling] vs [Shop] tag in Re-tail

What's the difference between a [selling] and [shop] tag in the subforum Re-Tail? It seems like both are selling items.

Selling is usually just one item or a couple that someone is selling for one time. A shop is when people have a stock of items, and re-stock them occasionally. c:

Thanks for the quick reply! How do they restock non-orderable stuff? I see some shops selling Saharah/Ice furniture/Villager pics. Do they try to restock those?

Not entirely sure of that. Most people here don't dupe, so I'm not sure. From shops I have seen, un-orderable stuff is sold only once.

I have a shop and I restock my non-orderable stuff like Saharah items by TT and using my extra characters. Villagers give doubles of pictures sometimes, also thru April Fools Event. Mostly TT is how shops keep restocked. However things like non-orderable DLC is harder since they are a one time thing. I don't dupe (too risky!) I just use my extra characters.
