Seeking Villager Suggestions

I've been playing ACNL on and off for as long as the game has been out, but I'm dedicating time to completely overhaul one of my copies as of now. I am currently in the process of resetting for my town layout, so I'm planning ahead with which villagers I want (and where I want them to be.)

The town of Fernwood will be a woodsy, mystified forest. Lush greenery and small orchards will complete the dense landscape. To compliment this build, I would like to have natural-looking villagers inhabit my town.

I'm a fan of the deers, anteaters, cats, elephants, goats, koalas and rhinos present in the game but I wanted to see if anyone had some recommendations for earthy, realistically-coloured villagers. Which villagers may suit my town, and do you like said character? Why?

Agreed, I would not be upset at all to obtain the both of them. Even better if I can get them to move in next to each other.
