I'm making patterns that I want to show to people on TBT. I put my 256 GB SD card into the wii, and when I tried to save the screen shot it says " You must format your SD card"
The problem is, my computer fails to realize that there's anything in the SD slot. The light comes on to say something is inserted, but no menu pops up with options. When I look at removable discs it's not there either. However, when I remove the SD card the light remains on. I guess this is a lesson to not put anything that you care about in a $30 video camera.

1. Get a digital camera
2. Format SD Card
3. Put in Wii
4. Press 1,or 2, (To take the picture)
5. Put in SD Card Slot on PC
6. It should work.

Or i could get the image and try to make it like yours..

Is it possible it is the size of the card? I tried using a 4 GB SD card and the Wii wouldn't read it. And it was brand spankin new. No reason the card wasnt being read by the Wii. I have 2 cards now. a 1 GB card and a 2 GB card and both work just fine. I've never gotten another size to work in my Wii.

Who said a 1 GB card doesnt work just fine?

I doubt the camera busted your SD card. If it wont work in the computer, then you will have to get a new SD card. Get either 1 GB or 2 GB card. Nothing smaller. Nothing bigger. It shouldnt even need formatted into a certain format. It should already be in the proper format.

Seriously? That cheap? At least there's one electronic device in my price range.

Also, you might try getting an USB SD Card reader. You might also have another type of sd card incompatible with your computer. Idk.

I went out and bought an SD card, and it works with my wii, but my computer fails to read it!

again, try to use a USB SD Card reader.

Also, what kind of sd card...

I feel really, really really stupid. I just figured out SD cards work better if you put them in the right way. :veryhappy:
