Scorpions? Where you at?

I haven't caught a scorpion yet
When do they appear? I have caught 2 tarantulas but not a single scorpion.

Scorpions are the bane of my life!!! I’ve caught everything other than the ducking little pests!

Supposedly they have set spawning points around your town. So I’d say to just keep wondering around at about 1am until you find some and just check those spawning pint again and again. If you can’t find one in your town, save and continue as it’ll rest all the bugs in your town.

It’s an extreme method, but you could always chop down all of your trees. Doing this would prevent the vast majority of other bugs, such as beetles, from being able to spawn in your town. It’ll increase the chances of ground insects like the tarantulas and scorpions spawning but like I said, it’s a lot of destruction for one bug.

Oh my the scorpion!!!!!! I saw those twice since I started my newest town (created this town 2 weeks ago). Can you believe me if I tell you everytime I see one I freak out?! I’m not an easily scared person in real life. But this heckin scorpion in game will see you and it will chase you !! Twice I saw it, I swear I didn’t have time to get my net. He started running after my character, so my character run for her life around the neighbors houses and the little monster finally caught her and but poor Mayor Candy!!! Then you see your character passed out in front of her house door! It’s so annoying Hahahaha!!!

If you want to be assured of catching one of these shy monsters, cut down all your trees. That is the easiest way to catch them. If not, you just have to wait for some luck. They are not as aggressive as the tarantula. My advice is to have your net in the first slot, walk around town slowly so you don't scare them. When one appears, engage your net but do not move. The advance slowly until he engages by facing you and shaking his stinger. Soon as you are close enough, bam! And try going on after eleven when it's a bit quieter in town. Also wait until the tarantula is no longer spawning. I find when they spawn in the same month, the tarantula spawns more often than the scorpion. Happy Hunting!

Thank you. I have not been able to catch one, but I do have like a billion trees in my town, which is probably the reason.

They are not as aggressive as the tarantula??? In my town, a tarantula appeared and Didn’t even have to struggle to get it. It didn’t even pay attention to me. While the scorpion chase me til the end of the world :O

Tarantulas and scorpions seem to only ever appear when I'm not paying attention. I can't count how many times they've attacked me.

Another tip:
If you have to, wait until September to try to catch one.
Tarantulas stop spawning in September whilst scorpions won't, so your chances will go up even without ridding yourself of trees as some suggest.
EDIT: Noted that this was already covered partially, but yeah September is when tarantulas are no longer around.

I see scorpions at night each time I play (although I?ve never been able to catch one). It?s the tarantulas I never see I?ve got one day left to catch one otherwise I?ll have to wait until they are back in season

I am in the same position Been looking for the tarantula and scorpion all summer but cant manage to find one. I think I should get rid of all the trees and flowers but I think that's too much
