School,,

Your school ISSUES you iPads?
Jeebus, that must be one rich school.

Its a public school, we get iPads so we don't have to buy and waste paper! Its a good idea but poor planning on their end haha

Eh, I prefer pencil and paper.
Makes it easier to doodle in class when I'm bored~

for some reason my work is more accurate when i do it all on paper, theres just something about reading off a screen that reduces my concentration compared to reading it off paper..so im kind of glad that my school doesnt provide ipads or anything yet

Same, I do better when writing essays on paper rather than typing and printing it as well.
Mostly cause I don't have to follow some stupid guidelines.

Phones aren't even allowed in our school. Our school hours aren't long though, so its not too much of a big deal.

Actually, most schools issue laptops or something simmilar as regulation so they don't have to go into a PC suite every time they want a lesson based on the internet, and in addition a lot of schools put homework online, and it means that students have a way to get to their homework if they don't have PC access at home.

Yes, our school has wifi that the students can use whenever they wish, however they have fierce blocking. They have an automatic blocker that blocks game websites, and sometimes even TBT for short periods of time. We aren't allowed phones at school, but everyone does, and also the teachers sometimes actually let you use them in classes to find a translation, or use a calculator. But honestly, any time a teacher says we can use our laptops or tablets they're doomed. I bring my tab in to school sometimes, and I spend the entire lesson playing on emulators or mobile games XD

Pfft, most I can do is play games on my phone during free time.

We have laptop carts that teachers can give to students to work with for a day with permission from administrators, but that's about the extent of how much the school district is willing to give most students.

My school only ever issued laptops on a cart, for lessons sometimes. Not very often though, they really couldn't be bothered to set them up.

In like 8th and 9th grade our school issued us tablet laptops, which was great. But I'd end up using it to doodle instead of paying attention in class so that was a little less great.

ya my school does that too but for the middle division. in the upper division theres just too many students to give everyone an ipad.

it is a private school? so a lot of the funding comes out of the pockets of my rich classmates lol #scholarship

ipads are frustrating to work with though a laptop is much better and paper is just easier to deal with

My middle school issued iPads last year, and the 9th graders (at least last I checked) at the high schools get iPads as well.
All of the schools in the district will have issued iPads by the 2017-2018 school year, I think.

anyway i never posted about my school but we have a few wifi networks for the students and we just use our own devices
u can use laptops, phones, 3DS', etc.

We weren't allowed phones nor tablets when I was in grade school. Good thing for me too, seeing as they would just be a distraction.
