Saving designs with Mable?

If I save designs with Mable will they still show up in my town? Like can I place a several part path and then save the path designs with Mable and replace the designs in my pattern tab with pro designs? Or would that mess up the path?
(and yes I know I can just make a second character for paths but I was just wondering~)

Believe me you will mess up your path BIG TIME. If you replace a 9 or 6 piece with another, make sure you do the edges and corners exactly or you will have a horrendous mess on your hands.

If you exchange a pattern for another pattern, then everything covered in the original pattern (such as your paths) changes as well. So if you have paths laid out and then swap them for a pro design shirt for example, you'll have shirts all over your village.

There's both Pro's and Con's to this however, because it means that if you want to change a path, you can simply replace the old design with a new one, and your town should automatically update! Saves you a lot of time! I recommend a Path-Mule character so you can have the Pro Designs and such on your Major.

Okie dokie thank you guys! =D I actually made a character for storage and paths today but found out I have to wait to use qr codes so I was hoping for a quick fix! But now I now that is a terrible idea!

If I understand you right, you CAN have a quick fix in a way. You don't need the use of the QR Machine to get patterns from Dream Towns that have them. So, you can have a mule or even a mayor, go to a dream town that has patterns available and store them. You can then return home and use them as paths or whatever.

That however only works if the path was made by someone in that town. If it's another QR code they downloaded it won't work :/
