Hey so I've been hearing a lot about Sanrio cards (I guess amiibo cards too) but I don't really understand what they are. Do they just call in a certain villager/character to the campground RV? I know there's villager amiibo cards but I guess I don't understand how the non-villager amiibos work. Can someone help explain?

Do you know how the new amiibo cards work? The welcome amiibo ones? Those don't look like normal amiibo cards, but are in a van (RV). The Sanrio cards are 6 RV cards containing Hello Kitty (Sanrio) related villagers! Here's a picture of all 6:
