just wondering.... when you scan someone to get a certain type of sanrio items, do the mario items go away or do they stay so that you can buy more whenever?

Yep! Also you only have to scan the cards once and the items will always be orderable for that game, so say your friend had the cards, you could scan them and always be able to order the items on that save file without re-scanning the cards
