Okay, so I *just* made this account to ask this question so I hope I'm doing this in the right place, heh. So, the last ocean-diving creature I need to fill the encyclopedia is the spiny lobster, but they last appeared in December. Is there a safe way I can travel back to December 31 to catch it so I dont have to wait until next year? I just denied Rosie's "ping" to move today, so if I went backwards four days, checked to make sure no one was moving, then went back to the last day of december and caught the thing, I think I'd be okay from there... then how would I go about moving forward? Sorry this is so long, any advice is very appreciated!!

Thats what I was thinking! Thank you :D

also not sure what you mean, Paperboy012305 ? :9

I skimmed through your post and said that it would be much safer if you go to the train station board and ask someone if their town is in December and get one from their's. But it seems you already caught one by Time Travelling back after I posted.

Well, it would've been safer if you did that instead of time travelling backwards anyway.

Oh, maybe I worded my post poorly then, I havent done any time traveling yet/ havent caught one yet! maybe I will try that though, thank you! :)

When you go backwards, you don't need to go back a small amount of days at a time. That's probably worse. Going back any amount of time counts as one day forward, so if you went back a certain amount each time, it would count as multiple days forward instead of just counting as one if you go back all at once.

When you go forward, just go day by day and you should be fine. A simple way of checking if anyone is going to move out is to save, quit, set your 3DS clock forward by the amount you want to go, and start the game as a new character. If nobody's missing or in boxes, nobody will move out and you can quit without saving, set the 3DS clock back, and use your mayor to time travel forward again. If you don't want to do that, just be patient, talk to each villager at least once per day. You should arrive quickly at the present since it's only about a week. :)

Yeah, That happened to me too, and I had to wait one. whole. year. to complete it again. >.< but its a low price to pay when it comes to being safe, so I recommend going slow. :)
