Running out of things to do in my town...

This may sound really stupid, but I've had my town since March 2014, upgraded my house the max times, changed it to a castle, built loads of public works, laid down paths and loads of flowers, and I just feel like there's nothing really left for me to do. I'm getting bored but I don't want to restart my town cause I know I will regret it.

Any tips on what I could do?

Maybe just stop playing for a while? Games aren't designed to be played forever.

I agree. Taking a break might help. If you've gotten that much done since March, sounds like you've been playing pretty often.
You might come back to find something different you wanna do with a fresh mindset.

Like the other have said, taking a break will probably help! But you could also try picking a theme to landscape and decorate your town around! AC:NL gives you so many options for customization, so even though it'd take a lot of time, effort, and bells, it'll keep you occupied and it'd be a fun project! Right now I'm working on changing my town into a Japanese-themed town.

Look for new villagers you like maybe? Or redecorate your house/ your villagers houses? TT to discover new seasons and complete your museum? Make cute clothes? Play on the island?

Well...you could go on lots of Island Tours, snag tons of lilies, come to my town, plant them in coloured sequences... Just kidding!

I think the above posters are right. Just take a small break. Or change things up a bit. If the season has changed in your town do you have paths or tiles that could be redone? Like MadameSpringy said, relandscaping could be lots of fun and a challenge, besides.

Keep in mind: the following town is simply insane and it give you an idea WHAT IS REALLY possible when it comes to all the different themes (outdoor + indoor), decoration ideas and other creative details.
