Rotten perfect fruit?

Sooo I am a newbie although I have been playing for a while. It is the first time I have ever seen this happening! I mean, I've lost a tree before but I've never seen a rotten perfect fruit!! My question is... is there anything interesting to do with it? I wouldn't like to just throw it away and pay for it, is there any other option?

Nope, it just looks like a perfect fruit but not edible and if you plant its instantly a dead sapling. You have to pay at retail or you can git rid of it with a trash bin! The only other use is EVIL. When a villager asks for fruit give them the rotten fruit. NEVER EVER DO THAT. I HAVE NEVER AND IF YOU DO I WILL CRY They have feelings too But you get rotten ones from dead trees. One of the fruits will be rotton in the dead perfect fruit tree. I hope you have a happy positive day!!

True. I wonder if someone has done it..... BUT HOPEFULLY AFTERWARDS THEY GAVE A PERFECT. I am kind of bummed there is no special use

The video quality isn't the best, but I found someone who gave a villager rotten fruit. They notice it's rotten and turn angry/sad afterwards, poor things...

Also yeah, perfect fruit trees are great! I wish they had returned in ACNH..... another thing I like about them is how they ''die'' after giving fruit various times, trees without leaves look spooky.

Omg thats so mean But I miss perfect fruit SO MUCH. THE COLORS, THE MONEY MAKING, AND THE BEAUTIFUL AMBIANCE. Nintendo should have brought it back...

I did this by accident to Nana!!! She asked for fruit and I went and got her a perfect apple - I thought! She was utterly heartbroken and I felt so bad I just contemplated putting the entire DS on the train tracks and have it end there, haha. I swear, I felt so crushed seeing her so sad and she was so hurt by it.

But i sent her a present in the mail, talked to her loads and loads and she seemed to get over it. So ALWAYS double check if you decide to give a villager a perfect fruit.

Mistakes can ruin a friendship so always be careful!! I wish they had made the icon atleast have like a worm coming out of it? Or something to tell you that is rotten other than the name.

I gave rotten fruit to villagers that I didn't like. I used to send them by letter with a rotten perfect fruit attached or when the unwanted villager asked me for fruit I used to give it to them in person. I thought their reactions were too funny, especially since I didn't like them (looking at you Elise!). I only did this with villagers that forced into my town though. With villagers that I actually cared for I never gave them rotten perfect fruit.

Nothing to do with it, unlesss there is a annoying villager you dont like on your Island and they ask for fruit, give them the rotten ones, they will hate it XD
