Rock garden

So for a couple of months I actually tried to get my rocks to spawn here. 4 of them spawned, and then the last two never did. When I started removing some mannequins to redo my island, the last two rocks spawned where the removed mannequins were.

Recently tried to do the rock spawn thing again and put mannequins everywhere and destroyed the 2 left over rocks, and extended this little island out and removed everything around it to make sure it can spawn in those 2 squares. Yet, for some reason they still don't spawn in these last two squares (next to me).

Please tell me what I'm doing wrong

based on this guide which I used the rocks should spawn in those two squares but they don't and it's been days since I smashed the other two, and there are mannequins all over so I don't think I could've missed two let alone one

I was going to say your trees maybe but they seem are far enough. One my problems when I built the rock garden was I had the furniture causing visual obstruction. It's such a hard thing to navigate.

Ooh, I have a tall rock arch there. I'll remove that. Do you think I should fill in the river as well just incase? I'm looking through my island right now and I can't find the other two rocks at all

Okay, I think it might be that arch because mine was the shell arch and it was the same two bottom rocks (like yours) that refused to spawn. I don't think you need to fill in the river since it shouldn't be the thing interfering. I'm just looking at the shadows at the bottom of your screenshot.

OK thanks a lot for your help! I had no idea tall furniture caused obstructions. The arch was originally in between those bushes, and I had garden lanterns on the mini island as well until recently, so that was probably also the problem. Hoping they will finally spawn there in the next two days
