Hello! I've decided to try making a rock garden on my island so anyone who has done it successfully can you let me know if there's any reason that rocks wouldn't spawn in this area I've set up? Thanks!

I've done it, what I did for it to work was:
- decide the spot you want them and make sure there is enough space (you've done that)
- make a design for a mannequin that you can delete afterwards
- cover your entire island in manequins/paths/flowers
- test and see where the rocks spawn
- once you have the rocks where you want them, delete the design from the mannequin, easy clean-up!
The rocks should be able to spawn in those points. My advice is throughout your entire island, to put custom design mannequins down. When you have those mannequins on your island, a rock cannot spawn within a full circle of them (like on the edges of the mannequins, similar to how stuff drops from rocks). Once you have them covering all possible spawning points for a rock (you don't have to worry about cliff edges, or water edges near rivers), the rocks will be forced to spawn in your rock garden that you have set up. Of course if you have a bunch of pathing, trees, and custom designs all over it cuts down how many mannequins you have to use to force the rocks to spawn.
Once you have all of the rocks in your desired spots, all you have to do is change the design that you used for the mannequin, and they'll all be picked up automatically to clean your island.
Hopefully I explained this well haha. With this method though, you can get a rock garden set up fairly easily in about 2 hours.

Thanks guys! I was planning on using the mannequins as they are easiest to tidy up once my rocks have spawned

They won't spawn in the bottom left spot because of the tree. I would advise moving that tree back after the rocks have all spawned in the places that you want.
I decorated the area after I spawned all my rocks, just in case any decoration messes with the spawn.

I'm trying to move my rocks to a particular area and one just spawned 3 spaces behind a tree!
