ROAST my Dream Address 2.0

I have only two critiques.

First thing I noticed was that the town really didn't have a theme. A few of the pwp seemed to be towards an Egyptian theme. But then I saw others that made me think a Zen forest. Though neither of those go with your paths and flower choices.

Also I think next to Mira's house leading to the metal bench. That you should just keep the thin path going without that thicker path interruption.

I didn't go into the houses cause I don't really have an eye for interior design.

I do think this town could turn out to be a beautiful town.

Oh, yeah I wasn't going for any theme at all lol :P The Sphinx was beside Ankha's house (the Egyptian cat). I've long since removed it anyway haha.

Also, Mira's house isn't near the metal bench? Although I see what you mean, I had to make the path small so I could have space for the bench. If the path was bigger, nothing else would have fit on the tiny bit of land. I'm also planning on building the reset centre at the end of the path there. :)

The houses are 0% done, so you didn't miss anything :P

Thanks for visiting and leaving feedback!! ^_^

I'm reviving this thread because rereading it made me smile and laugh and I'd love to hear some more roasts from you guys. Thanks!

There's a weird blend with the thin and thick paths, most times I wasn't sure which to follow. (Some paths lead to nothing)

Many areas that have nothing in them. No flowers, no paths, no pwp's honestly those areas can feel like a void compared to the rest of the beautiful town. It's a weird feeling of loss of potential and a strange hype/excitement killer.

Other than the thin paths themselves, there are odd tight turns to make to keep in line with, for example the entrance to the beach on the right side of town, it's a weird one space area that if you don't follow the path, it leads to another empty placement of land.

Aaa, I hope I wasn't too harsh, I'm not good at being 'mean' or 'roasting' but I wanted to just give feedback, thank you for sharing this DA though, it's really fun to see how people develop their own towns! I'm honestly kind of jealous of the amazing PWP's that I've never gotten and the town layout, lol.

Haha I totally agree with you about my skinny paths. Honestly most of the odd pathing is due to me needing to make everything symmetrical. It definitely holds me back with designing my town lol. You weren't harsh at all! Even though it wasn't truly a roast, I do appreciate you taking the time to give me feedback :) You made a lot of good points!

I wanted to leave immediately after the chopped bamboo nearly impaled my mayor. That's a dangerous bridge near the police station. But I pressed on and noticed the statue fountain and Sphinx ate all the flowers or something??? The empty lots/spaces make me think there should be cemeteries for all my hopes & dreams. Maybe sign posts to direct me back to the plaza. It's also wasted potential for more bamboo to overtake this town.

Thankfully there's a bus stop right beside the train station so I can free your villagers from this cursed town. :3 I'm not a LoZ fan so a majority of the references were probably lost on me but that's alright! However, I enjoyed seeing a log bench near the fire pit since I'm sure that's where the sacrifices take place.

Overall I like the attempts and adherence towards symmetry since I'm the same way. Good job!
